Hello Guys.I have maked Approach lights in 3ds max so i put a little light effect (just texture dont from 3ds max lighting) and in MCX (modelconverterx) i set the transparency of my textured plane and he is lighting in MCX in night mode, i have putted night and day texture but in FSX he isnt lighting..some help please? I think that i say the problem so there is no need any proofs?

Default lights in GMAX are not included in the FS model, and I assume that 3ds max is the same. You need to attach an FSX light effect using the Attach Tool in 3ds max, or similar technique.

aha alright and whats the name of the approach lights i attach tool effects in 3ds max??? thank you

but how its work in this videoo ? I want to make approach lights but with same effects and to be more lighten...so how it works for him but for me not ?

That tutorial is far more detailed than I could ever get in a forum post, so I can't explain it any more clearly than that. Follow his steps again very carefully.

A few things:

1. Did you assign light.dds to the nightmap slot in ModelConverterX?
2. Did you place the light.dds texture into the adjoining texture folder (next to where you placed the BGL file)?

You can use textures planes using the "new lighting method". And edit the mipmaps.

i tryed then my texture is not transparent in mcx with same settings, it was looking like light planes but the light is same with intensity..can you give me any template? thank you
