• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 AviaPAX (WIP)

AviaPAX1.jpg

This is AviaPAX - a "Lite" passenger simulation and experience addon for MSFS

No complicated 3rd party software to mess about with - this addon keeps your focus entirely within the simulator as it is run by the in game toolbar menus - this toolbar menu can be closed...it is persistent!

Key Features:
* Individual, 50 point personality per passenger (Personality generated for each passenger, based on passenger count)
* Cabin and Passenger only events that require input/guidance from the captain, or in worse case, a diversion
* Cabin Services (Serve Passengers) and Cabin Maintanence (When Required)
* SimBrief Integration - Pulls SimBrief Flight Plans for quick entry on Flight Setup
* GSX Integration - Can be used to call Catering, Cleaning and Lavatory service trucks as well as initiating boarding, pushback and deboarding
* Cabin and Crew Sounds
* Realistic, dynamic passenger events
* Events can esculate or de-esculate, depending on other factors
* Flight Summary at the end of every flight - total time, flight time, distance, passengers flown, average mood and satisfaction AND landing rating!
* Basic Pilot summary in the main menu

Addon aircraft compatible: PMDG 737, PMDG 777, FBW A320, FBW A380, Fenix A320, JF F28 & all default aircraft (this list will constantly be updated)

Passengers react to what they feel, hear and see - they may not necessarily react to pilot mistakes, for example, forgetting the Beacon light (Although Frequent Flyers MAY notice this)

To get all this passenger data - I used real world statistics from 2024-2025 to determine age groups, vulnerabilities etc

No two flights will be the same - passengers wont always react the same way - for example.. they may not notice one steep turn compared to lots of abrupt control input
Got lots of children on board? not all passengers will be happy
Got sports fans on board? are they drunk? can they be controlled?
Do we have enough food and drinks onboard for passengers?
Is the toilet working and sanitary?
If there is a altercation on board, do we have any Police or Security on board to help the situation?
Likewise, if there is a medical emergency, do we have a doctor on board to increase the chance of a better outcome, or will they reccomend we divert ASAP, does the pilot listen, or not, and risk punctuality?

These are just some of the questions you will be asking yourself when using AviaPAX
There is a LOT more to come and a LOT more to cover

Open and welcome to any ideas but remember, this is a passenger simulation and experience app, not an airline/cabin crew manager

Many Thanks!

Some more previews of the toolbar menus

SimBrief username can be set in the Settings page (not shown here)
What I show here is active flight, flight summary, main menu, flight history and flight setup

Cabin Stock decreases as they serve passengers
Cabin Cleanliness decreases through out a flight, more so during and after service
Lavatory condition will also decrease
All of these can be serviced when on the ground.. just make sure it doesn't make the next flight late!

Been very busy!

I've added support for nearly all popular addon aircraft, including and not limited to:
PMDG 737 Series
PMDG 777 Series
FBW A320
FBW A380
Fenix Airbus Series
Just Flight F28 Pro
iFly 737 MAX 8
DC Designs Concorde

For Concorde specifically, I have added realistic callouts. The Concorde never had GPWS and relied completely on Pilot monitoring...

Been a long time since I uploaded to YouTube, the audio quality may be better on my Facebook page

I have gone into a lot more detail with the passengers brains. They all now act as individuals with over 300 variables making up the "neural network" of each individual passenger.
A passenger manifest is created as passengers board your aircraft and the values you see will represent the overall average. We have things like age, weight, health condition, travel reason, nervous flyer, frequent flyer, hunger, thirst, toilet need and hundreds more.. each of those categories also have their own variables. Things like seat disputes and brief panic attacks can be common, but often resolve themself requiring no action from the pilot.

Passengers will judge how you fly based on what they see, feel and hear as we monitor over 200 aircraft variables to determine physically what the aircraft is doing. They will judge the overall flight based on length, smoothness and how well...or bad...they received the cabin crew.

Passengers will also react to what the engines and ailerons are doing, since these are seen, heard and felt by the passengers, they will hear and respond to engine failures.

I have also added a Pilot Rank system but this will not limit you to any particular aircraft.

There is lots more to disclose, but I plan to release short videos over the coming weeks.

AVIAPAX IS OFFICIALY IN BETA TESTING
I am currently a one man band, so I would appreciate any feedback

Best Regards and Happy Flying!

Been doing lots of testing, with and without GSX and various, popular addon aircraft.

The app is almost ready to publish!

Had a HUGE blow up since last posts

AviaPAX now integrates with the GSX SDK directly allowing GSX users to start boarding and deboarding via the AviaPAX ToolBar.
This also gives good use of the GSX Catering Service, Cleaning Service, Lavatory Service and Maintenance Van provided with GSX - all which you will NEED to use at some point

As you can see in the images.. the emergency system is HUGE - for just major events alone there are 102 individual events and possible outcomes.
No event is pre-determined - they are influenced by a real-time, 90 point, individual passenger manifest and built on real-world statistical data.
One minor event could escalate into a dangerous/critical event, such as an argument later becoming a fight, where a member of crew may get assaulted.. ANYTHING is possible, NOTHING is pre-planned.

There are 900 sounds (and growing) which is driving the simulation (Currently British crew, more languages will come in the future) - the sound system itself is a simulation and not just timings and triggers.
I have added F/O sounds across ALL aircraft, these warn the user of aircraft/passenger comfort limits, and then tell you off as you exceed those limits. The crew may lose confidence or patience with you if you
have a habit of flying rough and often exceed passenger comfort limits. You "MIGHT" hear things in the cabin, which you may wish to "Enquire" about, such as a loud thud > someone screaming > trolley cart fell over.

As per real world, cabin crew are trained to deal with most situations, only really notifying the cockpit on serious situations which may lead to the question "Do we divert? do we return to dep? continue?" all will be judged accordingly and realistically depending on the situation.

AviaPAX is designed to be easy to use but as realistic as possible and absolutely hardcore - the event simulation is the core of AviaPAX.. there will be no option to turn them off!
The basic design philosophy is:
The Agent knows the detailed state of the cabin.
The cabin crew deal with what cabin crew would normally deal with.
The captain is told what the captain would reasonably need to know.
Everything else continues evolving underneath.

Persistence (New Feature):
Persistent Location: Enabling this will require you to chose a home airport where you must make your first flight. Your next departure has to be from where you last arrived and you have to visit your home within 6 flights. This is set on pilot profile creation and can not later be toggled later!

Persistent Cabin Condition: For example, if you do not clean the cabin on arrival after a passenger was sick, passengers on the next flight will see/smell sick, same for any equipment failure etc. (some passengers may be sick them self if they see sick from a passenger on a previous flight and cause it's own possible chain of events). There will be cross-contamination if you do not clean the cabin, and failures of equipment will pass over to the next flight unless you service it.

Beta is going good! a small team of 10 testing and the current version sits at 0.9.7

The remaining updates up until V1 will be the final polish of the UI and user-facing debug panel
