• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Bandaranaike International Airport/Colombo (VCBI)(Released)

Hi! First post ever in this forum.

I'd say this is just one awesome scenery of VCBI!
Since I'm a person who cannot afford P3D, I was just wondering if someone would be kind enough to convert this for FSX?
If someone could do so, I'd be very thankful, because I always fly in and out of VCBI!

You can get the P3D4 Academic License for £45.....about the same sort of price for any new game these days.
It's hardly extortionate...... especially considering the fact FSX is 10 years old now and does nothing but restrict developer and... to be quite frank.. a waste of time.

That's true! P3D is a nice and pretty denet sim than FSX, but what I meant was my PC. It's not good enough for P3D. That's why I was wondering if someone is still interested in converting this, since I saw some posts a few pages back of volunteers willing to convert. :) But I strongly agree, P3D is a good sim.
 
Lots of people still use 32bit platforms. I personally would be very appreciative of someone could convert this scenery to FSX also! We soooo need this one as there just isn't any decent scenery for FSX VCBI

You are a bit rude Captain Ahmed. This is a developer forum, do NOT go around telling people what to do with their "last" "freeware" scenery project and especially don't start requesting someone to build entire airports.

My suggestion is: create your own sceneries!

Would it be possible to separate the jetways from the terminal? So it would be possible for everyone to add SODE jetways by GSX Level 2.

No, the jetways are not in a seperate file yet but I will release an update as soon as I have finished my current project!

Thanks for another great scenery, Rouven! I've used your Male one for quite some time now and appreciate your giving back to the community.
Unfortunately I won't be able to use this until I make the switch to P3Dv4, and I would really appreciate if anyone was willing to port this over to FSX for all of us who are still using a 32-bit platform :) Hope someone out there would be willing to do so!

Many thanks for such a wonderful piece of scenery, I have visited Srilanka on my way to Thailand and it is a wonderful place to visit, now I can visit Srilanka in the virtual world as well, best regards from UK.

Hi Rouven,

thank you very much for this airport, it is excellent and even two years after its release it's still better than the recently released payware for the same airport!

Just wondering, did you have any time left to look into the jetway update?

Hi Rouven,

Very late in finding this very good rendition of a major Sri Lankan airport. I'm running P3D v5.3HF1 and this airport appears to be fully compatible with the exception of the SODE jetways.

I have copied the relevant files to the destinations but when parked at a gate in the PMDG737 and I display the SODE menu I get "No triggerable items..." The jetways are visible. Does anyone know how this can be resolved please?
