• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Bell 206 JetRanger V2.0

The Bell 206 project has come quite a long way from the FS2004 days. The original FSX conversion was one of my first models I converted when I started modeling and some things were incorrectly assigned or some animations weren't working as I was still learning the process of FSX modeling. The latest models are much more improved, although the model is somewhat dated for it's time. But nonetheless, the model(s) are still very popular til this day and with Version 2 looming on the horizon, it will be much more enjoyable. New models have spawned from the original including a cropduster, police, mosquito sprayer. New features have been added inclding the replacement of 2D gauges to 3D, a multitude of avionics options, a configurator that allows to switch between flight steps, removing doors, a choice of pilots and more. And this will be my second project to feature 3D lighting replacing the old "FX" method for aircraft lighting, excluding the interior light. A huge thanks first and foremost to Owen Hewitt for the original source which these models are based on and for producing an alternative to the default Bell 206 in FS2004/FSX/P3D, Kirk Sunley who is a real world helicopter pilot having flown the real Bell 206 and who has painted this bird since it's initial release, Mike Muench who is also a real world pilot and for providing the photos for the mosquito killer version. With all that said, this project is nearing it's completion with some things left to including painting. Maybe for an early 2018 release :)

Of course whenever you feel ready to come back to the world of designing, parts of this and any of my other models are yours to use for your own ;) An example, the camera from your Bell 429 is used in the 206 "Police" ;)

Bell 206 police and float models exported into FSX. Police models feature animated camera and searchlights. One can switch between 2 different searchlights "On The Fly" using a control gauge. Searchlight and camera models courtesy of @antaris from his Bell 429.

Bell 206 "Police helicopter" with the FLIR computer active. The screen itself is just merely a gauge that displays random aerial surveillance images and is not a fully functional FLIR system which P3DV4 can do.

Looks great!

The screen itself is just merely a gauge that displays random aerial surveillance images and is not a fully functional FLIR system which P3DV4 can do.
Is it possible to fit a downward looking (extra) FSX-viewport inside that gauge-area? (with a green/black-green filter) just like some FSX night-googles add-ons are using?

All Bell 206V2 models and virtual cockpits compiled and working in P3DV4. Here is a shot after I killed the engine on purpose testing the float model

Warning sound, switch sound, payload and configurator panel fully functional in FSX and P3DV4. Going to clean up the paintkit so I can include that with the release.

Released on avsim. Further updates are planned including integration of the F1 GTN avionics. Enjoy:cool: I forgot to mention Sergio Kauffman (@antaris ) in the readme as a contributor to the project (camera, searchlights, gauge artwork) My apologies bro

I don't know if it just hasn't been posted yet, or I'm doing something wrong, but I checked Avsim and can't find it. Could you maybe post a link to it, Mr. Eurostar? I'd love to download and fly this beautiful project, but I just can't find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, sir.
Pat☺
