I am creating an aerial for my airport. I want to use Google maps data as it is most up to date. I am using SAS Planet and Nool's toolkit. The issue is that it looks like the Google image is displaced compared to Bing image that the sim uses. In SAS-Planet I put three placemarks associated with the runway threshold corner referring to three different world maps providers (Bing, Yandex and Google). It looks like this:
So basically, when using Google image in-sim with exactly the same coordinates of the bounding box in the SAS-Planet the runway and everything else becomes displaced like this:
Now I am trying to figure out how to "move" the whole Google aerial, so it matches the scenery runway which was created matching the in-sim Bing representation. I tried calculating the difference in coordinates in each of the Bing and Google runway threshold corners and replacing the coordinates in the kml while creating the aerial, but that does not seem to work as it effectively just "moves" the bounding box, but the image stays where it was. I think I need to somehow account for moving the bounding box BEFORE creating the tiles and then use other coordinates in the kml, or maybe do something to the png tiles' filenames (quadkeys) but can't for the life of me figure out how to do that
. If anyone encountered this and successfully resolved, could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!
