• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Blinky statics

Just recently installed a scenery which included some static planes.... B52's. In slew mode if I turn a bit left or right they all in unison flicker and disappear until I return to the original viewing angle.

Cause and cure? Bob

How many did you place? You are allowed 43690 triangles on a given material so if you placed enough of them to exceed that figure that'd be the reason they flicker and disappear.

i didn't place any. They came with the scenery. There are at least 4 or 5 in any given area. That given area.... they all come and go together.

Then a nearby, adjacent area.... same story, and a third area a bit further away - same.

Odd happening. In contrast, I have made a number of static planes of different makes and placed them all next ot each other in a sort of 'test airfield' I use for placing items and inspecting them for flaws before I put them in some main scenery. I see nothing like this happening, but this new scenery- wow! Nicelyi done scenery but 'the case of the disappearing B 52's.'

Agatha Christy would be proud!

So- possibly too many of them in one place? I've seen something like this play hell with frame rates, but this blinking in and out of existance is quite the thing!

BTW- They all blink out all at the same time in the scenery. Bob
