• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.

I updated fs2020 last night and I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I got up this morning and started ADE brought in my project and made no changes and when I built it I had an error. I went and used my backupcopy and it did the same thing. Here is my build error if someone can check it out and tell me what is going on.

Microsoft has changed a lot of things with patch 1.16.2.0. I am not surprised that ADE is no longer working. Three of my airports now caused MSFS to crash to desktop and I do not know why... Personally I think the patch is broken.

The errors are not important. The compiler (which exists in the sim, not in the SDK tools or fspackagetool) now wants to see a Business, json and a completely filled out MarkrtPlaceData type. The packages still compile just fine, and can be placed in the Community folder.

I do see that the fspackagetool is no longer in the root folder, so I advise copying the fspackagetool.exe from the SDK v12 to a safe place.

I do not know what would have caused previously compiled packages to now fail. My test packages, which contain just about everything are OK. I'm not sure abour CGL files.

this fspackagetool.exe What places should it be?

In the SDK folder, \Tools\bin\fspackagetool.exe

Just copy it to a safe place in case Asobo doesn't include it in the upcoming SDK update. I wouldn't be concerned but they omitted it from the MSFS root folder this time.

As Dick says this is not a fatal error and does not appear to stop the project from creating the bgl files. It appears that it is complaining about a missing folder related to the market place. I have not been able to work with ADE for a couple of weeks due to other commitments. However I will try and take a look at this in more detail shortly
