• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Thanks to everyone who put their name forward for Alpha One and were not included. We are now at a point (alpha 7) where we need more testers. I am asking those who indicated an interest last time and any new people to reply to this post. We need people who
  • Are experienced with ADE.
  • Have worked with and are familiar with the MSFS 2020 SDK and tools
  • Have the time to work with us.
We are also particularly interested if you are using the Steam or DVD versions of MSFS 2020.

Hi Jon,

Still able to assist and active in developing scenery using the Steam edition.

Edit: Should say heavily into devleoping Scenery, spend several hours a day at the moment with it being so tricky!

this is my first experience with an SDK
and I'm making my first airport
I look forward to ADE because the scenery editor for many things is absurd (like adding a fence perimeter or choosing a hangar)
therefore, even if I have never used ADE, I'm available to test it.
I use the DVD version

I have done a lot of airports with ADE FSX/P3D and i now started working with MSFS 2020 SDK. DVD version in use.

En la actualidad estoy convirtiendo los escenarios a MSFS.

Hi Jon, count me in, know ADE front and back, have been using it since Number 1 , presently fooling with the SDK...Happy to know you are in Alpha already!!!!
 
I have only used earlier version of ADE to generate some XML’s in MSFS (ILS and approaches).
I have couple released airports atm and few in WIP (MSFS).

I am super keen to jump onboard. I have used ADE in the past with FS9 and FSX. I am currently using the MSFS 2020 SDK but am looking forward to something a little more functional.

Thanks for getting back. At this point it is probably easier all round if we don't include you but I would certainly find it helpful some time later
 
Hi Jon,

Very willing to provide any testing required. Have plenty of time (retired) have spent many hundreds of hours using ADE, now able to program Simconnect in C#, just need to get to grips with fs2020 sdk.

I have been using ADE for ever. Way back I developed all the New Zealand airports, and now I am starting using MSFS sdk. Two airports so far including removing one that no longer exists and replacing it with the new airport.

Hi Jon,
I have been using ADE since about 3 years beginning with the first version for P3DV4. Currently I'm being tortured by the SDK while creating about a dozen of missing military airports in Germany based on aerial images and other public information. I'm retired and have time for the adventure of alpha testing. I'm looking forward to a tool providing a comfortable users interface and functionality as I was used to legacy ADE.
I use the Steam version of MSFS 2020.
 
Jon do you remember? I was discarded from early Alpha releases, ... am I lucky now? I used ADE, I know ms2020 tools ( I built some airports on 2020 also)
