• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Can MSFS mesh changes be edited in ADE 21 HF5?

One airåort (LSZH) where I made mods for taxiways and taxi signs appears extremely ondulated with streange mesh surfaces. This seems to be caused by mesh changes in the base files, since my earlier mods were made from base files of earlier MSFS versions. Is there a way to "eliminate" mesh constraints in the ADE airport mods. Is perhaps flattening another way to achieve even mesh for modified airports?

Neither flattening nor ADE can change anything about your underlying mesh. Are you proposing ancillary software "massage" the mesh to conform to the same parameters it had from a previous build, thereby nullifying any changes made from the new build? If so, you seem extremely optimistic.

Well, hope is the last that abandons man (Swedish? proverb). My wish-thinking made me hope that the mod might apply itself to the updated mesh. But now it's just to get back to the drawing bord and pick up a new base airport. But for the fact that the compiling doen't work with the SU9 yet.
What puzzles me is that an MSFS update can change the airport scenery so that the aprons all work well with the new MSFS and my ADE ground signage and markings, but half of the runway length (no 28 at LSZH) now is "built" on top of a 12 ft wall that the A320 just can't climb to get to the t/o position.

HF5 fixes the issue of paths to stock airport files and nothing else. The next update should include scenery polygons based on XML source but I do not think there is anything in that which affects mesh

We can't debug your undulations without a copy of your project attached to a post, or a cloud storage link to the project.
