• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v3 Can't find path compile error

It's been a little over a year since I last used ADE and am getting a compiler error that I didn't get last time I used it.

That complete path did not exist, (Temp1 did). So I created it and still got the error. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or changed?

Win 7 -64, P3D v3 , ADE 01.67.5876.20005

Thanks,
:<Ron>

And the file CAM20_ADEX_4_ORBX-2_RWE.xml is in that path's folder? (the Xml folder)

I would observe that the airport referenced, CAM20, is identical to one of the airports in your question mark thread; which implies to me that the condition could be related.

No, the CAM20......xml file is not in that path's folder. I assume that file is a temp file created during the compile process. (I'll look at see if I can find it somewhere else.) I can't find anywhere in the ADE folder settings or compile settings a place where I set up my TEMP1 folder as a compile path.
In trying to compile other airports, I get the same error - just with that airports XML file name in the error. Also, the file DOES compile and generate BGL's (in the correct folder as setup in options) that seem to work fine in P3D. But the error still bothers me - what is it NOT compiling that I don't know about! :-)

OK, I found all the airport XML files that I have been working on, and giving me the above errors. They are in:
c:\games\AirportDesignEditor_167_5876_beta\!AdeTempWorkOnly folder. So the compiler appears to write the temporary XML file and then look for it in a different place. Maybe a registry error??
