• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I know there've been millions of posts on compile problems. But here's the big problem. I wanted to extend the parking apron and add a few more parking spots of my home airport which they did in real life :) But I get all kinds of errors. I get the one that says it couldn't copy the file because destination folder not found or something. As well as all sorts of other errors at various times. Sorry I can't post them because I only have internet connection from work.

The REALLY STRANGE thing is if I open a default airport and without changing ANYTHING and try to compile it I get errors. The ones I can recall from memory are the one mentioned above and one that says the scenery elevation for an NDB does not match the rest of the scnery.

Is there a guide to all possible compile errors and their solution. The one I mentioned above was in a post but no soloution was given. All I want to do is add more parking spaces to my little home airport and maybe change the tower:p
 
You need to look at the error list given by the compiler when it fails. That will tell you what has gone wrong. First however, make sure that you have updated the SDK to at least SP1A. The RTM version contained a bug that stopped the compile of boundary and blast fences.
 
Make sure you are running FSX Planner as an administrator (right click it and choose 'Run As Administrator') if you are using Vista. If you don't do this then it can't create the bgl file and you get the error you mentioned above where it couldn't copy the file to the destination folder.
