• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

It will still take some months but sometime the empty oceans in FSX will be history :)

Have to say I'm really loving what you've done so far, took off from Gibraltar and rather than a barren empty Mediterranean there was a mini armada of shipping. Hong Kong was the same story, next I'll have to do some long range ops to monitor the shipping lanes!

Hey Kl791 you will need the Mighty Servant too ¡¡
I saw this "boat" recently, it is an amazing "boat"

I have just uploaded replacement effect files for P3D to simviation and avsim. These files resolve the problem of heavenly wakes in P3D. The trick which apparently was discovered by Holger Sandmann was to remove the lines

TempK=109.00
TempRate=0.01

from particle attributes in the wake.

Fabulous work Henrik, thank you for bringing FSX even more to life. Looking forward to seeing some activity around Dubai soon :) :)

Hi Henrik,

Just to let you know how to decompile your traffic.bgl's with AIBTC:
Run AIBTC in XP compatibility mode and it decompiles.
I deleted all default shipping and still have a lot of sea traffic thanks to your addons.
Beautiful.

Roby

Hi Roby,
Sounds good because that has been a mystery for me why they couldn't be decompiled.
Regards
Henrik

Hi
If you could make the textures Jean-Pierre,then I will do the routes. I am working on the Norwegian coast at the moment and another small ferry that could double in Mexico could maybe show up - at least I have been looking for some typical catamaran ferries which could be done with several repaints to be used in varius locations. There will also be at least one more cruise ship and Cozumel is on my list for the next package.
For the moment it is a Norwegian Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel which is being prepared:

"Siem Daya 1" is a brand new ship and it will of course be prepared for FSX heli pilots:)

Easy to land on a ship's rear helipad. But different challenge on a front one!

Henrik, what is your trick for bow wave?

duckbilled do you have nice photo of the B/M Ultramar?

Good evening
The bow wave on Siem Daya is a new test inspired by one made by Didier "Lagaffe" Puentes for his beautiful "Aquitaine" frigate - this bow wave is closer to a white smoke effect than it is to the original fx wake files - I still need to work on the size and shape as it is still a bit too long so there is a bit of spray on the aft deck.

I don't personally have a pic but their website (linked above) has pics of their entire fleet.

Also, googling "Ultramar Ferry Pictures" produces a few good ones. If needed, I can save the pics from the search but it may be easier if you just save them.

I got this one (see pic) it's to be textured. this is the Fred olsen catamarán modified to look like those of Denmark. I think there is another that sail in France.

I even sailed on that ferry "KatExpress 2" :) Took pictures of her a couple of weeks ago as I was thinking about making a model... And yes there should be a similar ferry "Norman Arrow" sailing on Dover - Boulogne. Will you texturize her? Do you need some pictures? Or do you have a paintkit and then I paint her?

I will send you the Mdl, maybe will be better you texture the ship, maybe you can get better images from this ship. or retouch the catamarán even. adding or deleting some parts. I think this ship has been improved to match with Fsx requisites. (frame rates :o). has been cleaned enough. you can make the templates if your idea is to add diferents repaints. you can control what is what better.
