• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Creating windows 777 cockpit?

I have imported my drawing into Blender to finish it there. I am getting the hang of Blender but trying to get a handle on creating windows around the cockpit. I saved at a point with no windows try something new it does not work, I close it out not saving. I've done this quite a few times now.
I don't know if this is possible, create loop cuts and rotate them around where the frame should go and remove vertices that are in the way? And then delete the parts of the loop cuts not needed?

Thank you so much, all the videos Most of those never turned up on my searches. I had downloaded a couple late at night when usage did not count against my account. I was getting frustrated. I had gotten so close using CAD in my comfort zone and then learning a new program is stressful. Trying not to hit keys for CAD in Blender has been tough. I thank you for all the help Ronald.

32 inches above my desk is a heavy duty shelf that I made a few years back. On that shelf is a plotter that plots out 24" X 36" sheets but has a broken belt now. But I would love to have that printed out on a sheet that big. I need to get rid of that plotter now I can send it to a print shop and have it done now. Thanks again, me being new to Blender that will sure enough help me.

I was out of it for over a week, my son was in the hospital with Walking Pneumonia and a few days after he got out I had surgery on my nasal cavity, removed polyps. Have gotten some work done but tough when your eyes are burning trying to look at a screen. Feels like I have sand under my eye lids now.

Hey Rick, how are your B777 cockpit windows coming along? Have you made any progress with them?

Yea I have made some progress but my progress has come from starting completely over again. Seems CAD was using way too many pixels and I had used double the number of pixels plus a little more and I was not even half done.
I have learned a lot and still plugging away at it when I get a chance to work on it, life in general has been busy so not much time is being spent in this project at this time.
