• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Dear all

I represent airnordic, a new virtual airline intended to focus on realism and professionalism, all of our staff members are currently working within the aviation industry full time. We are currently in the development phase and are in the process of designing our flight planning software, we are now looking for someone who has existing experience with building ACARS Clients for flight simulators.

We desire to build a mufti-platform software i.e Windows, macOS & Linux to support all available flight simulators, and hence we are looking for a developer who is equipped with the knowledge to code using Electron JS. Detailed build documentation will be provided to the developer. The developer should also know the following:

1. Knowledge about flight simulation and Virtual Airlines
2. Basic knowledge of an ACARS Client (smartCARS, kACARS, IPS etc)
3. Extensive knowledge of Electron JS.
4. Ability to work with third-party libraries (FSUIPC.dll, Simconnect.dll)
5. Good understanding of REST API

Although we prefer that the developer is proficient with flight simulation, for the non-flight simmers who are still interested to apply, we need a developer who can build an app using Electron.js which will get values from flight simulation software using FSUIPC / simconnect and broadcast it to our server via a REST API.

Even though we are a virtual airline we will not mind investing in something that could be of great value to our members if it is within reasonable prices of course that's why we are listing this as a paid project for the qualified applicant.
