• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Default CRJ-700 VC rework

Thanks for the feedback.

  • The first few points are actually missing features rather than bugs but as the interest is there this may come some time in the future.
  • I will think about the text I can add to the tooltips. I simply had no idea what to write there
  • The sound related stuff is done with respect to the third parties. Also the entries in the ini file need the full path of the sounds (from FSX root folder). That's why putting them into the aircraft's subfolder makes no sense.
Also thanks for sharing the POSKY adjusted data.

Tooltips should describe the function of the knob or button in question and ideally feature a conditional display of the current status or value.

No, the paths to the sound files perfectly work with a relative configuration from the location of the gauge and .ini file. I've been using this type of folder configuration for a lot of add-ons and it works. Really, do keep gauge- and sound-related stuff together! It will make installation much more easy!

Click on the cockpit image in my signature.
Are there issues with it not being displayed?

The image does not work. Maybe FSDev has a hard limit on signature images?

I had issues with that so it remains how it currently is.

I requested feedback from other people who actually see it but here is the link:

Even though the image doesn't appear, clicking on that area does load the correct link! :wizard:

Dave I have some feedback on the Posky CRJ + your VC merge..I have only encountered for the moment one issue. I loaded the airplane and..I'm trying to use the MFD but the Map Page/Map Zoom button wont work when i click or click and drag on it.. nor the Map Items Shown button. The other buttons work. The stall test works, the stall protection button works...The wipers work.. All CRT screens are on. and working.. But due to the fact i cant turn the MFD knobs..the pages dont change...BTw excellent stall test..I was very impressed. Btw do you know any good freeware addon fmc i could put in there? which fmc do you use ??

they do not react to clicking. They rotate when flipping your mouse wheel up and down.

oh crap...lol im using a laptop... and of course the touchpad...any way around having to use a mouse with wheel??
OK I will update the code so it can also be done by left and right clicking. Never Heard about anybody flying with only a touchpad.
Doesn't dragging with two fingers emulate the wheel?

It simply didn't play any sounds. Also don't forget what I said about the respect to third party software.

That's less of a problem if you give credit where credit is due. I don't think that Rob will send angry e-mails just because his sounds and gauge are located in a different folders than envisioned by him.

Much thanks Dave...lol I really dont know what to say about the touchpad i ony use it as a mouse to click on whatever i need..for flying i use the arrow keys..dragging with two fingers is for zoom in general...and the more weared out the touchpad gts the harder it is to drag with two fingers lol.. actually i had never heard of anyone using the mouse wheel LOL. :)..i guess im very outdated..

Update Time!! :)

The following fixes were made:
  1. (Hopefully) all custom switches now have tooltips
  2. MFD rotary knobs can now also be operated with left and right clicking
  3. right clicking a wiper switch will toggle both wipers provided both switches and both wipers are in the same position.
  4. fixed the messed up right wiper
  5. In case of an electrical failure during wiper operation the wiper track on the windshield will disappear correctly.
You can download the new version again via the link below.
For installation: only the.mdl file has been changed so replacing the "crj_interior.mdl" in your previous installation is everything you need to do.

Please go on reporting other bugs you may find.

Thanks :)

So it's perfect now? :D
Hey dave. i finaly got around to at least taking off in her)..and i can assure you that the knobs i was telling you about are working now for me... MUch thanks for the speedy fix and the dedication you put in to this project i really love it!.. I wil give you feedback on the Autoland feature..I had an issue with the Posky CRJ which is that it was waaay too fast by default....the Thrust_scalar was placed at 1.3 by someone o_Oo_O...so i had to close FSX and change that out..and i havent gotten around to flying her again yet.

By chance can anybody pass me the Default CRJ-700 .air file and turbine engine data, amd weight and balance data from the DEfault CRJ-700 aircraft.cfg? Dave i believe the autoland in the POSKY CRJ Merge is working...at 60 knots it shuts itself off..but at the same time i have been unable to fly a stable ILS Approach due to the very bad Flight Dynamics and placement of the center of gravity by the POSKY team in their CRJ-700(Placed at the nose of the CRJ, no matter how much one plays with the fuel and Pax/cargo)...When the airplane enters a turn, it begins a dangerous descent..and..on ILS it is forced pitch down to the ground at low speed, due in part to that CG.. I'm currently trying to get hold of the Defaut CRJ-700 .air file and the default crj-700 aircraft.cfg to attempt a fight dynamics merge. I completely screwed up when i deleted the default aircraft with backing them up(i was in the process of uploading them all to my mega.nz account but it was taking sooooooooooooooo long, at the expense of my internet speed.) And i dont want to run to repair option from Disk1 because I know and in the past had been victim of the dreaded CTD after FSX repair issue..

sent you a PM

The POSKY CRJ flew just fine for me, except for a lot of excess power.

Exacty! that unrealistic excess power..lol.. I've been fiddling around with the Turbine Engine Data, and the .air file since yestrday...In the air file ive been trying to figure out how to edit the graphs in 1502, 1504, 1506, 1507 and 1508...which all deal with thrust vs altitude..but im still clueless.
