• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am working on a scenery and have replaced a default bridge with a custom made. However, even though the default bridge is gone, the lights are still there. As seen in the picture, there are floating lights that does not go away..... Ideas?

In the Scenery Editor, call the Objects and, in there, select "Light support". It will put a rectangle where you are positioned with the developer camera Then tick "Exclude light" and "Exclude light objects". All the lights inside the rectangle should normally disappear. Be careful with the rectangle that is rather large at the "1" default scale. It might be wise to reduce it to 0.1 or 0.3 to have a better view of it. You can easily re-dimension the rectangle afterwards. Another annoying thing is that the default color of the rectangle is almost unnoticeable and hard to find once it has been positioned. I recommend you to enter a "display name" to make it easier to locate later on.

Yes, but I can't access the "Light Support" since I am making a scenery and not an airport. Strange...but it seems like the light support only is possible for airport areas.....?

Yes you are right, I missed that..
Try the Polygon object and then "exclude street lights"?

I'm sorry to hear that...May be someone here might have a solution or try on the MSFS Dev Forum, they may have a solution and/or log the bug.
Best regards.

Nope...that was one of the first things I tried....maybe it's another bug In the sim.....:(
Not a bug, the way lights are grouped you may have to exclude a very large area to make it work. Play with the rectangle area. I think the right tool is Exclude Rectangle, not polygon.

Ok, but then I remove a lot of other lights that I dont want to remove...?
