All,
I have been using SbuilderX for some time now (v3.10). It is a very useful application and many thanks to Luis. I recently noticed that it was taking a very long time to display the background, sometimes the program would apparently halt waiting for the last tile to download, occasionally turning on and off the background would do the trick but it was getting a little tedious!
I started poking around in the various folders and found that in the \Tiles folder there are all the tiles that were ever downloaded - in my case the Google Earth folder had over 20,000 small .JPGs and the \VirtualEarth folder had more than 50,000 !! I have deleted all and started from scratch will much better results. BTW it takes a LONG time to delete 50,000 files, also be sure to hold SHIFT + Delete to prevent them from simply be moved to the Recycle bin.
