• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi, didn't exactly know how to describe this but this is the third time this has happened and I have had to uninstall\re-install every time, then it works and I was just wondering if anyone elses has had the same problem and any way other then re-install. I have asked at zendesk but have had no answer. The problem is this-

When I click on LOAD IN EDITOR the loaded pages slip into the background and i can't bring them back to the front. I have attached an image.

I'm not in front of my computer now, but into your sim root folder there are two files (name like developer UI.cfg)
This Is where your developer user interfacce settings are stored.
You can safely delete them, restart the Sim and you Will have a default UI,
Before deleting, Just open with a text editor, you can easily recognize they are developer io related
Hope that helps

Hi, Thanks for getting back so quick, I have done a search for developer/ ui but i can't seem to find them. Checked the root directory but I can't see them

My files for this are here: C:\Users\dickl\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator

This is for the Steam edition. I would check Local and LocalLow for the Microsoft version. The files to delete are DevMode.xml and imgui.ini (copy or move them to the Desktop before deleting) The sim should rebuild them just fine when restarting MSFS. Then they will be in the default state.

Perfect! Well done and thanks, that's saved me a day of re-loading. perhaps you could post someting on FSDeveloper in case anyone else has the same trouble.
