• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Directional Arrows

Hello,

When placing a taxiway in ADE (FSX/P3D) does the directional arrows do anything with the AI?

I think I read somewhere that ACES designed does directional arrows for the AI so if an arrow points north then that AI will taxi north but wont taxi south on that taxiway or I must of been seeing things.

If not then definitely LM need to do something about it for P3DV3.XX.
Imagine at YSSY, watching the AI taxiing to 16L on taxiway C, B10 and AI coming to the gates on L, B from 16L.

they don't do anything Eddy, they just show the direction the taxiway/path was drawn
as for YSSY there's there's several taxiways that AI use for coming and going from both the international and domestic terminals to and from 16L
FSX is also smart enough to redirect AI traffic across runway 16R to avoid the Mexican stand off,
i'm sure Jon would appreciate any suggestions you may have for the LM to help you :)

As Ray says, the arrows show the direction of the link from start node to end node. It is useful in so far as it lets you know which is the left side and right side as far as markings are concerned.
