• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

When I click on install..from inside AIFP 3.2.0.6 it links me to a page Flying Carpet 75 which is down or off. I have the ftp but hate to look for every aircraft manually..Is there a way to fix this or what. I know that for the Delta Repaint..it is on drive D but that does not appear in parent directory.

Thank you,
Bob M.

Bob, First of all , 3.2.106 is significantly out of date. I suggest you upgrade to the latest development release 3.2.10(k) (which will soon become 3.2.11.

With the limited amount of info at hand, I can only assume you are attempting to install an aircraft specified in an AIG file (aifp.cfg). AIFP has no other source of information other than the link in that file.

If my assumption is incorrect, please get back to me with more detail.

Don

Thanks Don...I just downloaded 3.2.10... I am new to all this. I have UT2 installed to P3Dv4.1 but with the fsx hacks so it would work. Just not getting anywhere with utlive untill they get a power pack. Anyway..I understood that this tool AIFP could be used to export or import, depending on how you look at it, unto the UT2 database. But Power Pack needs a .dbi. Anyway. I downloaded a Delta Flight Plan: AIG_DeltaAirLines_Summer_2017_FSP.zip and AIG_DeltaAirLines_Summer_2017_TFS.zip. When I open AIFP..I get this...
and this is what I have access too
but to look down that list for everything would drive you crazy...lol... Got to be an easier way to install ai aircrafts, repaints and schedules.
Thanks for your input. I am 67 and the learning curve short so I am trying to get a handle on this.....lol

Warmest Regards!! Don,
Bob M.

Bob, the age argument doesn't "carry much water" with me. I've got almost 10 years on you.

As I explained earlier, the only information AIFP has to work with is what is in the aifp.cfg file in the AIG package. Further, AIFP can't override website security arrangements. In this case, AIFP has done all it can, i.e. it executed the relevant link in the aifp.cfg file and took you to the website. It's the website itself that blocked you - or an invalid link. Either way, you issue is with AIG and/or FlyingCarpet75.com.

Keep smiling,
Don

BTW:
..I understood that this tool AIFP could be used to export or import, depending on how you look at it, unto the UT2 database
AIFP "knows nothing" about UT2. it analyses and generates traffic file. What you do with those traffic files is entirely up to you.
