ESP 1.0 Exporter vanished from 3DS MAX 2014

Hi ,

I wonder if anyone can help me.
I've been exporting objects from 3ds max 2014 using the ESP 1.0 exporter, for the past several months.
The latest ESP 1.0 Export I made, was last night about 3 AM. Then, when I went to turn off my PC
it told me it had loads of Microsoft Updates to do. So, I let it continue.
Now, today, I switch on my PC, create an object in 3DS MAX 2014, and when I went to export it,
the ESP 1.0 Exporter option is NO LONGER in my 3DS Max export list.

Can anyone out there shed any light on this?
Also, I need to know what to do next, to get the ESP 1.0 Exporter back.
I can't find an EXP 1.0 download anywhere on the internet, and I can't even remember how
I came to have the last one loaded into my 3ds max, so any info. here would also be helpful.
Basically I need to get back to what I had, before I went to bed last night, in the least painful way
possible :)

Many thanks,

Max

p.s. after this I may run my 3ds max PC as stand alone. Turn off the wi-fi to the internet.
I can't have 'viral' companies like Microsoft logging into my computer and effing it up for me.
As a former Microsoft MCSE, I consider it's operating system to be the biggest virus on my computer.

Simply reassign your paths to the exporter and remember to thank MS for completely rebuilding your OS with only the slight hiccup of losing your old user data; enjoy your new Windows 10. Being mostly facetious but it happened when I got the free W10 update, I'm sure that's all it is, just the lost paths.

In the unlikely event you cannot recover the export module, be advised that you can download and use any of the Prepar3D SDKs. The export module(s) are not sim version dependent. Only the XtoMDL.exe compilers are sim version dependent.

Thanks rk and n4gix for your help.
I'm afraid I bottled it, and used system restore to undo the MS changes, then disabled MS Updates.
It took me a long time (and invaluable help from this forum) to get a stable and reliable way of
moving stuff from 3ds max to a Flight Sim, and if I can put off having to deal with problems courtesy of
Microsoft, for the time being, I will.

I'm glad to read that "restore" worked for you. You are dead on correct; Win10 is nothing but a really nasty virus...

I've got all seven of my finely-tuned Win7 computers set to totally block Win10 from them, thanks to the GWX Control Panel. Like yourself, I depend on having a stable work pipeline for my development work. I have zero time for un-screwing problems with bloody software!
