• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Evektor Eurostar

Hi Hans,

That's some nice work on the VC, I am glad you are taking your time and not slapping it together. The finished product will show the time you spent to get it right.

Hi!

I can also report that we will do a standard version of the panel, with the Basic-T instead of this quite odd instrument config that we have now. Probably this will be made available in the version including wheelcovers. On the to-do list is also a version with the more modern nose (different cowling openings, as seen on the american SportStar & Eurostar R/2000-version), but this will have to wait until later. Might even be a FSX-only feature, even though the current version is fully FSX compatible as far as I can tell.

Hi!

Sorry to spam this thread with pics, but again, I was pleased with the result of this paint. I made a private repaint to discover some errors in my mapping, which could have caused a stirr when released! :)

Isn't the entire purpose of this showroom forum to spam us with as many picture as you can, so to make us jealous we don't have that addon yet :D

Great work my mate :D

Hi!

We got sound! And good sound it is, even though it is a first version! You´ll surely recognize that Rotax! :)

Hi!

More! A 1-minute video of quite poor quality that should give some feeling of the package. I blame the quality on YouTube! :D

Just few questions Hans:
1) Is the speed indicator coming in Km/h or in Knots?
2) The vert. speed indicator as well... m/s or feet?
3) Have you done any paintkit or so yet? I would like to draw some paints :)

Hi!

As custom in the Finland/Sweden countries, speed is in knots, VS is in Feet, and no, paintkit is not yet ready since not all of the plane is textured. Lucky for me, since I did not like texturing my buildings, and thus find mapping an aircraft even worse, there are quite a few people in line to texture the aircraft! :)

G'Day Hans

Just stumbled across this website. Your Eurostar is looking great! Just wondering if you are planning on modeling the Sportstar? I agree when you say the LSA category doesnt have much of an apprearance in FS. Ive got quite a few hours in the sportstar. Awesome little plane!

Hi Ryan!

Thanks for the praise! A large amount of nice words go to Oskari whos is making a fabulous work with the 2D-panel/instruments, air-file and the sounds!

At the moment I have no plans of making a SportStar version. As far as I can tell it is, apart from the canopy, almost entierly similar to the Eurostar. But there is no way of telling what the future might have in store... :)

Hi!

Not new anymore, but the latest. Have not had much time during the easter holiday, we´ve been putting up wallpaper all weekend...

Excellent progress since i last checked! thanks for the video and updates - you work very quickly.

I'm excited about this one, one question: how smooth are the gauges - i see the gauges are set in 3D bevels - are these each on seperate VC textures or within one? refresh rates are paramount in fs2004 i think.

Also, the VC panel texture; will it be a single bitmap within the panel folder? Sorry if this makes little sense, my example would be anything new from Alphasim or Tim Conrad's new A-36 intruder. I find these excellent for editing and using my own avionics :D

Keep up the awesome work :wizard:

Hi!

Well, I´ll try to answer as good as I can, not really sure if I got all of the above right... :)

Please also keep the expectations down a little, this is a first for both me (model, textures) & Oskari (gauges, air, sound)!

The bevels (not the instruments in them) use the same texture, except for the airspeed which is different. Also, they are a little large compared to real life, this is to avoid the stupid autoweld in VCs implied in the FS2004 gamepack. Once I move on to the FSX gamepack I can make them smaller, and, better looking (?). I have not thought of the gauges being choppy when I fly, on a moderate machine. Each gauge has it´s own BMP, dunno if it can be done otherwise? I have placed them in the VC using 1 bitmap, plus a separate bitmap for the version with the GPS (default Garmin 295) mounted in the VC.

The VC panel itself has its base texture placed on the default VC texture bitmap, then all the placards have a separate bitmap so they are all customizable, if you f. ex. want to write "engage enemy" instead of "unused". :)

Hope I understood it all right. As you surely can understand business is a little slower these days when the sun shines (we have +23 here today, which is way above normal for April!) and I can embark on my flight training again!

Hi!

New info, it appears that Oskari is also working on alternate instruments, so those asking for km/h & m/s might get that aswell. But we´ll see how things turn out. :)
