• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Let (s)he who has released a flawlessly perfect product without errors cast the first whine....

..well even going into the loop at 2.06 I can still see raindrops hanging there..but impressive graphic display nevertheless!

The detail on the Caravan is impressive.
Other than that this guy seems a bit too impressed by some photo scenery. To be honest I've seen some better color matched autogen buildings around here.
What I still wonder about is why they still haven't shown a closeup of a runway, which is a crucial part in a flight simulator. I just hoped they evolved

This drip-feeding of information is really frustrating. They're not saying anything. What does this mean Microsoft?! So, you took back MSFSX. Are you going to extend on that platform as well? Maybe polish up some things? Or will you just leave it alone but reserve all rights? Will there be an update to FSXSE? Will FSX still be available for new customers on Steam in the future? And also, what does "develop FROM" even mean? Do you base the core of the new platform on the 15 year old technology? Or was that just figuratively?

Do you plan, at any point, to actually address the community directly instead of this nonsense no-information-policy you're deploying right now?
Drip feeding information is deliberate. It keeps people interested, and it does not over promise things that may not happen. I saw many times in the FSX development process features that happened, but were pulled for instance before being announced or making it to the product.

Reflective buildings on the water - one example. :)

Agreed, I am going to go with.... "95 percent of people will LOVE this version of the raindrops" :)

So maybe not the best moment for ask about this but.... maybe this time can we have Hurricanes or other types of big storms (Tornados?) in the weather engine?

Looking at the images the weather system looks like it's had major upgrades

Your retraction is noted. I'll call off my solicitors (Messrs Snatch, Grabbitt and Runn, Commissioners for Oaths and Other Legal Things.)

Actually I didn't mean it that way, rather than that only the manliest of men can wear pink as if it's nothing.
