• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I draw a polygon, and set "Exclude_All_Terrain_Items", compile and that happen:

How I can remove land like a polygon?

It's doing what you told it to do, exclude all terrain items. Water within FSX is a terrain item, as the entire FSX world is really land with water polygons added in. Unless you have a particular reason for using the Exclude_All_Terrain tag, you can accomplish much the same effect using different exclusionary polygons.

ok thanks,

So.. how I can remove all default "land", and let there the water and my phototerrain (see picture) ?

I think it's important to remember that in the FSX world everything is land and that water is added into the equation. At this point, going by the picture posted, you need to re-introduce what you want the water to be by making a new water polygon to match your photo area. Very tedious work, speaking from experience. And... shorelines and wave effects are seperate items within the scenery makeup, they don't just appear because there is a water polygon with the Ocean water Tag.

So what I need do?

Remake BGL to substitute originals default land and water?

Or is possible draw (move) water inside land?

Shorelines and waves effects, not problem "by now".

Hello

On your right picture you need to erase the green/ brown rectangle corresponding to QMID grid. "Delete all items" automatically replaced the whole QMID box with "land".
1/ You have to create a polygon following the left vertical side, the horizontal upper side, the right vertical side, and then the bottom line following the coastline (even if not very precise, your lines may overlap the neighbouring blue areas).
2/ Then tag with : Generic Ocean Perennial for instance to rebuild the "blue" part.
3/ After, you can create a new shoreline, rivers, roads, ....

*** Once you draw the poly, you can get the shoreline without drawing line again: select poly / right click: make line; you have a closed line in place of poly; then just delete useless 3 straight sides, and apply tag, width, waves....
