• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am an experienced SimConnect C++ developer, being involved in SimConnect development since its inception in 2006, along with the release of Flight Simulator X.

While most developers view SimConnect as a way to create high-fidelity aircraft instrumentation, it is much more than that. SimConnect encompasses a broad range of functionality, enabling development of almost any kind of behavior in a simulated world, even a whole new game or a simulator, separate from Flight Simulator itself. In essence, SimConnect can be used to develop just about any kind of application, utilizing only the Flight Simulator's visuals and the ecosystem.

Whether you have an on-going project that requires attention, or you have an idea or a functional requirement, but are unsure if it is feasible within the confines of MSFS202x, feel free to reach out and ask me for an insight and opinion. As the heading says, I am open to contract and/or full time opportunities, on hourly rate or full-time salary basis. Please PM me on this forum, or e-mail me at simconnectdev@gmail.com

Most certainly, using SimConnect's NanoVG API and GDI+ libraries. PM me if you need more info, I am happy to discuss.

Hi, all! I just wrapped up a fun and challenging, 3-month SimConnect/WASM project that involved:

NanoVG API and GDI+ libraries (cockpit instrumentation)
Communication API - A great way for passing data between WASM and JS
VFX API - Dynamically spawn and manipulate VFX in WASM/SimConnect (attached to SimObjects, or static)

As the original post says, I am available for new challenges, full or part time. Shoot me a PM if interested.
