• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Fergo Cockpit Camera - Virtual Cockpit camera presets

Hey everyone!

After a few months in development, I finally reached a state where I can release my P3D addon "Fergo Cockpit Camera".

It's a camera add-on that let's you setup multiple virtual cockpit views and assign hotkeys to switch to them (so you can have views for FMC, overhead, pedestal, etc). You can then save all the custom views to a preset (which can be automatically loaded when selecting an aircraft in P3D). In some ways, it's similar to some functionalities that Chase Plane or EZDOK also provides, but my main goal was to create something simpler, less bloated and less intrusive.

Since this is the first release of the add-on, I was hoping to get some feedback and bug reports from the community, as I had a limited testing setup here.

Official Website: https://cockpit.fergonez.net/
The User Manual can be accessed here: https://cockpit.fergonez.net/user_manual.pdf

Some features of Fergo Cockpit Camera:
  • Non intrusive design: it doesn't change ANY files in your P3D installation, not even cameras.cfg. All the input processing is done through DirectInput in a standalone fashion.
  • Free look mode: click your mouse wheel to look around and use your directional keys to freely navigate in the cockpit. This key mapping can be changed.
  • Use either your keyboard or other game device to assign hotkeys to your cameras
  • Simple user interface
  • No clumsy on-line activation
Here's a video demonstrating a bit of it:

It's compatible with P3D v4 and was tested on Windows 7 and Windows 10. It requires .NET Framework 4.6.1.
The add-on is free to try for as long as you want, but limited to 3 cameras per preset. If desired, a license removing this limitation can be purchased for 9.90 USD.

Hope you like it and please report any bugs and issues you may find.

KR,
Fergo.

Thanks! :D

I've fixed some issues when using a joystick + keyboard hotkey combination.
The installer is the same as above.

Okay, I couldn't find a download link at your simple website, so was not able to take advantage of the "free testing." I went ahead and paid for it and did receive the emailed registration information, but still cannot locate a download link!

Am I stupid or just blind?

Okay, my bad. I thought I had Chrome loaded, but just discovered that my ancient, depecrated Internet Exploder loaded instead... o_O

Fergo you are great! That's what I am looking for. I own EZCA from V1 to V2, great software like you said, but I find out it's a bit cpu intensive. Just now I posted on avsim how to create custom cameras and assign a key untill I find your post. Very great! Just two simple question, does your software is lighter and less cpu intensive than ezca? The second, can't
i obtain the same result of your software inside prepar3d? Tomorrow I'll give it a try, consider me a tester. Thanks so much.
