As far as I know they sold the EBS product to LM a few years ago. That was the professional version of FSX. So in a sense P3D is targetting the professional market, while MSFS is for the gaming market. So the two are not competing with each other directly. Although for a lot of FS enthusiasts that line is not so clear and they also use P3D.I thought I heard something to this effect a month or so ago. Their sales are in the toilet due to ms 2020, and they were going to no longer lend support and eventually make it free. I thought this was incredulous and thought I would ask.
I also wondered how MS cold sell flight sim to Lockheed then a few years later launch another flightsim which is in direct competition with LM!
