fs2002 gamepack export problem

Hey,

Just a quick one.

I'm trying to create a scenery for fs2004 and i'm currently on the task to make photorealistic ground. However, when i'm trying to export the plane from gmax 2002 gamepack, i get the error "MakeMDL was not found or failed to convert the model... Check your systempath to be sure MakeMDL is on it".

In the fs2002gamepack/plugin-directory i have the MakeMDL files for fs2002.

The object i'm trying to export is just a simple plane with a texture on it.

The wierd thing is that this worked before. I just got a new computer and made backups of all the important directories, such as fs2002gamepack and all the gmax files i've been working on. (been having a break from the fs-world for a couple of months, so everything is a bit rusty)

So just wonder if anyone has a clue what might be wrong? Might be hard to know based on the amount of details i'm able to give, but thought there might be an easy solution that i just don't see.

Regards, '
Marcus

(and thanks for all the previous help with fs2002gamepack, yeah this isn't the first time i've had problem with it ;) )

nevermind! i found the solution, seems i've had a similar problem before.

got a bit worried about my memory now :)

sorry!

Solution

Alright, i actually had the same problem now again 5 years later.
HERE is the solution that I had to try to figure out once more.

In this case the problem is that my system is set to "," instead of "." in the region preferences in windows.
change that and you will probably be fine.
