FS2004 real world weather.

Does anybody know how to save realworld weather data in FS2004? I use realworld weather [updates every 15 minutes].

Lets say i am flying at FL310 and the wind is at 270 degrees at 65 kt. I pause and save my flight with realworld weather enabled. The next day when resume my saved flight, the wind speed and direction is different. It was 90 degrees at 93 kt. Is it possible to save weather data from the previous day? Thanks for the help.

Unless you can pause time, real world.

Real-World weather, updates every 15 minutes.....updates every 15 minutes... so if you used this feature, paused the sim for 1 hour and unpaused, the weather would have updated 4 times. AFAIK the sim downloads the data from Jeppessen, I could be wrong but they get it from somewhere on kind of like a live stream.

I think with active sky you can download the weather data and save that to be used on any other flight you do, but from the default feature I have no idea since that updates present time with obviously 15 minutes delay.

One thing you could do though is check the weather report just before you pause the sim for a while, write them down, make a new weather setting with that info and it will be the same ofcourse

Do a quick 'Save' in that flight and in that FLT file is also saved a weather file (WX file) with matching name. This has a locked 'snapshot' of those weather settings. It will not change though and will be a static shot, but you will be able to save that one shot (moment) and be able to load it again and change out planes, etc, in it.

thanks. So Activesky has the ability to save the weather from previous flights? intersting. Freeware or Payware?

Wait, sorry.. I didnt know we were talking 'active sky'. My apologies.

Built into FS is the ability to save a flight. When you save a flight, its a screenshot of that flight at that moment and includes weather.

I have no idea about 'active sky'. That is a payware system and I have no idea how that functions. I have heard good things about it though.
