• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello all!

Some time ago I present you http://fsaircraft.net (topic is here:http://fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23249)
Now service about airports with very similar concept:
On the site we have airport pages looking like this:
http://fsairport.net/CYZP
http://fsairport.net/KJFK

Index after domain is FSX airport ID (which could be ICAO, IATA or FAA as you know)
All 25 000 of FSX airports included!

Then, if you did airport for FS or did project with several airports included, or you just know about project which is not in the catalog yet - you can create "project page" which will be looks like this
http://fsairport.net/project_6
http://fsairport.net/project_7
etc..

Screenshots, videos, reviews comments can be attached to project page by any user.

I describe it at avsim bit more artly http://forum.avsim.net/topic/330121-welcome-fsairportnet/

Please welcome! Make your country on the front page most dance appointed :)

Thanks for attention! We are open for any feedback.
Andrey

Hi,

Nice initiative! I'll try to find some time soon to add some of the projects I have worked on.

VERY NICE INDEED!!!!! What a great and needed idea! I LIKE IT!

I will be checking it out more in depth when I have some extra time, and will post you some ideas and feedback as well if you want...

- Greg

Thanks Greg! You are welcome!

I do believe 90% of FS airports has add-on done by enthusiast or commercial teams. In five years we'll know that for sure :) Already there are 50 airports in the catalog in different corners of the world, however it's possible to see most popular :)

Andrey

One new feature added, now you can access to airport page and to project page just by clicking red points on map.

have fun :)

Good to see this posted here as well. I'm slowly filling up NJ with red dots, hahah

Interesting, but a similar project already exists and i think is much more interesting here

... And just on Russian ?
Ideas are different, our one is filled by users and include all default airports.
I'm agree that realization is bit "wet" this moment, we'll know the "shape" users want just in some time.

When I go to FSX and choose random airport or land somewhere on random airport I want to know two things:
-1 How it looks like in reality.
-2 Is some ways to improve FS default (in other words did someone do this airport for FS or not)

To answer both this questions http://fsairport.net is done for.

I can't render any judgment until I can get a better idea of the site's capabilities - look forward to the English version so I can check it out

Ну, я читал русских очень хорошо. From what I see, it is a very nice site. However, that said, they are two totally different sites. Both will service a nice place in the FS community. Bravo to both!!! There is no competition between the two..and there shouldn't be.

I do believe the competition is good thing on this stage. They see our good sides, we can see theirs. Both in development so it's just about "teams testing". Probably in some time one will die (ha-ha-ha), or we'll create forever living union.
Time will show.
Btw, welcome my site :)

Andrey

P.S.
For developers it's big plus that they can add information about their projects on both sites.

We are working hard. And something has been done already. You can chose your language, just click on flag
