• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

This is not related to flight simulation, but it is for FSDeveloper. Its not sanctioned by anyone or intended as an advertisement or change of FSDeveloper. Its something I made to expand my abilities and gain new knowledge. I think it turned out ok, but it has a lot of room for improvement.

Let me know what you guys think.

From a mechanic's perspective you need to get some real "he-man" nuts & bolts, those look like they came from an Erector set :) .

Conveys nicely the sense of groping around in the half-light for answers, but a bit dark for a page header on this nice, bright forum page. ;)

Nice rendering, but maybe a bit dark. And I guess if we would have some objects in the fsdeveloper logo they should be more FS related :)

I have a B747 silhouette I am thinking of placing in there. Will add more depth and reflect light better. Maybe add a couple of jet engines in pieces. This is actually a scene from an animated intro I am working on to include video of different aspects of FS development. currently its about 8 hours to render the 10second intro. Im going to rig up 4 of my old pcs to render only. Blender is getting very powerful in the latest versions.

Just added a shot with the silhouette. You can see the nut and bolt in the back-shade lighting because I forgot to modify the back-shade light layer. Think I will scrap this one and start a new one. So far I have about 30 projects that I have abandoned in favor of a different approach and about 9 projects still active. Im getting more advanced, way past my point of experience before. Maybe I should make an Ogre or troll on a glider. Now if only I could figure out how to use this Makehuman program or Daz studio. Lol.

Yes, I think we used to have a custom site icon some time ago. Not sure where it went :)
