• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Thanks for so many helpfull pages here in this forum.

This are my first pictures. We try to make this airport frame friendly and without flickering textures. Still missing ground textures, not ready yet. And the groundtextures are the main problem, not sure how we can use them without copyright or how we can get copyright?

Together with Lin Xue Ping our next projects are Chongqing and Hangzhou.

Wow, nice! Really unknown but ecspecially for cargo not unimportant airport! :) Looks good!

Wow that's great!, another Chinese destination on the horizon, we are all start to build in China :).
That's Looking very good, finally more people are starting to make airports in China, and other great Asian countries too.

Looking so good.
I think you have interior of the building also, very nice.

Thanks for this. I don't know to do this with Gmax. But I changed it this weekend.

My first experiences with this project are:
1. A beginner starts with the Runway, Taxiways and buildings. At last he thinks about the environment around the airport. Next project I will start with the environment, not the airport.
2. Sketchup is easy to learn, but ... For animations Gmax is needed. So it is necessary to learn Gmax also. Next problem are FSX Runway Edgelights. It's not possible to get rid of them. With polygons above them, they disapear in big jets, but in small one I could see them from below a little bit. And then own PAPIs must be made also. At the end Gmax is a must to know.
3. Sketchup is fast and makes a lot of fun. But making Runways and Taxiways are very difficult. Lofting is missing, textures are not easy to use on taxi-lines. For this, Gmax can be used, but very often I had problems. Gmax files are broken and I start again with creating the taxiways. And Sketchup is only free for non commercial use. Maybe the best way is to learn how to use Blender. It's free, but needs a long time to learn. But at the end, a project would be easier and faster with Blender.

Now using a cubemap for the window reflections. Next I will make the building textures more dirty, everything is looking too clean.

And maybe I will make FS9 Version also.

MCX is a great tool, thanks to Arno. Without MCX I would have give up months ago.

Amazing! How is everything going, Peter? BTW, I came from Ningbo!!!!
Well, actually the actual Ningbo airport is something different with your design.
1. There are additional 10 ramp in the east area of airport, however I am sorry I don't know how to post a picture from my computer.
2. T2 design has been published and the new terminal building has commenced to construct, please see the architecture sketch below:

Wow, thank you very much. The new T2 is not finished, they will build it in future, right?
I saw the new carbo building is under construction now. Maybe I will add this building. On China-AIP I only found the charts with the existing gates and park positions. But in front of the new cargo building the apron is under construction. I add this construction side to my airport and if the T2 is finished, I want to add it to my airport in an update.

Do you have a map with the position of the T2?

Hi Peter, the new T2 is under construction at this moment and it will be available on 2018, so you can make a Version 2 later. My suggestion is to include a construction site above the new T2 area. But I shall sorry that I do not have any specific numerical data of T2, if you need a dimension of this building and location, I can offer an estimation base on Baidu Map (http://map.baidu.com/?newmap=1&s=s&wd=宁波市&c=180&from=alamap&tpl=mapcity) later.

Yes, the apron in front of the new cargo building is under consolidation, which means the additional 10 ramps gonna be available at next month (12/2015). They will be available on China AIP on next year. So you can put these things in current version. Actually the whole T2 project does not mean construct a new terminal only, it includes 10 NEW RAMPS, A NEW DOMESTIC EXPRESS CENTER, AN INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT CENTER, A CORPORATE AIRCRAFT BUILDING, A FREIGHT FORWARDING CENTER ETC... Please refer to the figure below as a reference

If you cannot read the picture clearly, please send me an email to ramsey_zsnb@hotmail.com, I will reply you the full size figures in email.

What a fantastic work Peter! And Yes, a FS9 version would be so lovely to see, especially because of I know the City from my visit to China in 2010.
