• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

FSX Sandy look Oceans

Last Saturday I posted some ziped jpgs of an area betwenn London and Berlin; and right in the ocean, there is no sea but big patches of sand. Wonder if my posts where received and if somebody has seen them and know what they are?; just wondering because yesterday I could not connect to fsdeveloper.

And this is for our scotish friends; if you fly over Scotland the following coordinates, you will see the same sand instead of the ocean:
55degrees 3.56N
4 degrees 34.98 W

54 degrees 16.49N
4 degrees 21.59 W near the Island of OBan EGNS

55 degrees 6.64N
7 Degrees 0.10W Near Earlington EGEA

Hope somebody flies up there and please let me know if you see the same

Regards

I missed your jpgs, but I went to your second coordinates near EGNS. All I see in my sim is blue sea and the island EGNS is on. Try to post the photos again.

Bob just uploaded some ziped jpgs from the flight Berlin-London. Hope you can take a look at the sand. On the other hand seems confusing to me that you did not see any sand flying the Scotland coordinates??? so then there must be something wrong with my FSX?

No problems here.

BTW Should it not be EGAE, Eglington and EGNS, Isle of Man?

Hi Folks

Mameni -
Where are you obtaining those coordinates from ?

Can't see any zip either.

Entering them in Google Maps -
1) 54 16.49N, 4 21.59W == Isle of Man
2) 55 3.56N, 4 34.98W == Galloway Forest Park
3) 55 6.64N, 7 0.10W == Lough Foyle

1) and 2) are definitely on land.
Only 3) should have water.

PS
Only item 2) is in Scotland.

You may find an inappropriate lump of land at 53 50.80N, 3 34.84W
which is the SRTM mesh picking up the South Morecambe offshore gas platforms.

There's also one off Norway, at the location of the Troll A oilrig.

Hello, I obtained the coordinates by flying over the area pausing the plane where I saw sand instead of water, and reading the coordinates from the plane's GPS. I might have made a mistake? so I'll try again and send the scotish ziped jpegs.

Hello, here I go again, hope you get my uploads:
1.-Taking off Is.of Man EGNS
2.-Going around EGNS; airport below, sand up front
3.-Leaving Is.of Man from the west: full sand
Map coordinates: N545Degreees and 5.23'
W 4 Degrees and 37.39'
Is.of Man shows in my FSX totally surrounded by sand.
4.- Heading to EGNL: Walney Is.
Map Coordinates: N54 Degrees and 2.78'
W 3 Degrees and 32.13'
5.-Heading to EGOY: West Freugh
Map coordinates: N 54 Degrees and 34.70'
W 4 Degrees and 33.22'
6.-Heading EGEC: Campbeltown
Map coordinates: N 55 Degrees and 11.10'
W 5 Degrees and 27.24'
7.- Turning to EGEC
8.- Approaching EGEC: sand up front

Hello guys, just wondering if somebody saw the ziped jpgs that I posted, concerning my previous post, because I have seen no replies. Maybe the zips where not uploaded? should I send them again?
Thanks

I'm not seeing anything attached to you posts. Can you see them in your posts. If you can't, neither can we.

Bob

Wel guys don't really know what's happening but when tryimg to upload the zips I get an error that indicates that I have exeeded mu quota by 790KB. However when I click to see what attachmentes have I got, it shows none. Guess this is why my uploads are not being posted. Can somebody explain what is happening or maybe I am doing something wrong:confused:
