• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Does anyone have a copy of the FSX SP1?

It is no longer available on the Microsoft Download site.

If you have the Acceleration disc, you don't need SP1 or SP2 - just run the Acceleration installer over then RTM version of FSX. Aside that, I'm afraid I don't know where to find SP1.

I believe Paul meant the FSX SP1a SDK update.

For some reason, which isnt right, they have taken down the link which is vital for making planes for FSX.

Maybe MS just wants to forget their woes with the Sim community and forget Sims.....make copies. When will we see their activation processes for FSX stop?? Oh me Oh my!!!!:rolleyes:

Arno, could you upload the service packs for the SDK here?

If MS cries fowl, they can just upload them to their servers again.

There are 5 service packs total. I did find all 5.

I can make a zip of the full set and send it to someone to post.

Five?

Oh, are you counting the SDK ones (SP1, SP1a and SP2/Acceleration), in addition to SP1 and SP2/Acceleration for FSX?

Actually, all of the files are still available from Microsoft, they are just a bit disorganized and move stuff around without leaving any bread crumbs!

In any case, the so-called "missing files" were made available at AVSIM day before yesterday. :D

I will add them. It seems Microsoft still has them online, so at first I will just link to them :)

Yestreday I went to the Microsoft "Download" site and all I could find was FSX SP2 and FSX SDK SP1.

I have added links to the SDK SP1A and SDK SP2 here in the download section, they link to the Microsoft server. So those are the two SDK updates you need as a developer.

Ok........... wait wait wait...

The FSX SDK has an update number 2????? I have been working in this for how long and never knew about an FSX SDK SP2.....!

sigh...

The acceleration version is on the acceleration disk indeed. The normal SP2 can just be downloaded. I am not sure how big the difference between them is, but they don't have the same size.

This SDK version is supposed to be used with FSX with SP2 installed as well.
