I struggeled today the complete day of getting a spanish version of FSX under Win 7 professional 64 Bit up and running. Only the SDK parts where effected.
The conclusion in the end was that the DVD device had problems to read the spanish DVD. Didn´t get that kind of problems with German or English FSX DVDs. They would have done, what they are expected to do. Same DVD with Win XP: no problems.
Error Messages where all missleading.
In the end an LG external device did get it installed correctly.
Error messages all around 16xxx, which is missleading.
May be it is helpfull to anyone else to avoid that time consuming procedure.
Did install in advance at least FSX-SP1. FSX-SP2 doesn´t change anything in that area.
Later on FSX-SDK-1A and two where installed. At least on my Win 7 64 Bit the update of the runtime installation of VB was not necessary, as already installed. (SP1 included, plus updates).
