• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Trustworthy Project Partner Required

Want to be a part of never before taken on, aircraft which is native to FSX:? Then look no further.

I am looking for,
A person who is experienced with creation of xml coding, gmax experience and an enthusiasm to work on their own and have bi monthly meetings. Simconnect an advantage as this project it a single seater aircraft!
No need to be a master, those showing initiative in previous projects are just as valuable as masters.

What we will be working on.
An aircraft with complex engine management systems, a high detailed nearly 100 percents analog equipment. (full 3d gauge suitE.

You will receive a fair % of profits made if sold, and keep the intellectual property of anything you creat! the intention is a payware aircraft)

I already have the gmax model created, though I will probably remake it with higher fidelity.
There is a textured model to start creating systems and to iron out creases in the product! With much thanks to Michael Hagele the creator of the IRIS (666) F-16 for the reference material. We have a huge amount of resources to complete this project. We are not building an f 16 btw...

Please get in touch if you are interested.
Note: you will be subject to a non disclosure agreement until my decision to make the aircraft development public.

And your part is going to be the whip cracker behind the scenes...?

As an accountant irl irli could talk to you all day about the word partnership. Also, have you ever made a an aircraft in fsx? For fsx and not just made a million poly monster and not taken appropriate steps to ensure the model is correct from lots of angles and not just 3 views. Yeah, takes a lot of work and decision making to make it accurate and usable by the masses. Want clouds and autogen and lots of it. Spend thousands or I'll spend the time making your system have more resources to get that!... Learn to read or go get your head showere.

Fight! .... Fight! .... Fight! ....
is this type of discussion really necessary?

There were a lot of instances here where someone would look for a team to make plane/scenery X or Y and then just descibe his role as "project lead". This is not how projects in an environment with low financial returns work. It's either all hands or no hands.
Apologies for overlooking that you're going to do the model.

But now that I have your attention anyway, be advised that a remade model with textures and XML coded systems is not going to get you far, especially in a payware product. You need to package it with a custom soundset and an apporpriate FDE. Also, if you really want to go the "ultrahigh systems fidelity" route, XML alone is not going to get you very far. You will definitely need someone with C++ and SimConnect experience to overcome MSFS internal limitations.

Also, your othography should reflect the level of professionality your finished product is going to have.

P.S: I don't know what GMax is, the only paintbrush I can handle is the one for cleaning my PC and XML is all reverse Polish to me.

And yes, xml is all I need to complete the project. The 666 f-16 is extremely complex and has NO c gauges. Same with lotus l39. They use quality control and feedback loops (as I'm sure most aircraft developers use).

It's nice to have someone to share activities with and I have a full time job and I'm studying so don't want to learn any more than I need to!

I am well aware of what needs to be done.

I don't wantoo come across as rude and please, don't take this in the wrong way. Why did you comment in the first place? What exactly are you trying to get out of this conversation?

d0Ugi3, have a read through the first few pages of threads in this particular forum and you'll see the sort of threads that get taken seriously and those that get seriously heated, sadly. Please also remember this is one of the places the real experts visit (I'm not one of them...) and they're pretty good at assessing "Who wants to join my team?" threads.

I don't know how good or bad you are, but you joined the site yesterday and just fell foul of another dev's perspective: he has several completed (and released) FSX projects to his credit already. So welcome to the site, but don't expect an automatic rush of applications to join you: most of us are busy already. Good luck!

But he has not seen what I have made. I have already spent approx 500 hours in gmax and I'm no beginner

Long discussions have already been made with experienced developers and I know that xml gauges only will be sufficient to complete this aircraft.

I appreciate the input! Let's let this go here and now, and actually if what you say about all hands or no hands then thank you. Thats fantastic advice. Solves a problem before we start.

The systems are complex but not so complex that they need to be coded in c. Xml will be sufficient. The only hydraulic system is the aircraft is the one that controls movement of engine parts (physical) and effects of such can be manipulated in the airfile.

The rest is modeldef, a few thousand lines of xml gauges and moving polygons.

Dougie
