• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I was thinking we should all schedule an event so we can all meet up in Flight Sim. Someone with a good connection would have to HOST the session most preferably in FSX so we can all do a couple of short hops and talk a bit.

What do you guys think? I can't host because my is not directly connected to the router...router belongs to the land lord whom offers me internet access at no charge to my rent and its pretty fast...the problem is, it is very unstable and the router signal tends to fluctuate causing occasional traffic congestion and periods where sometimes I may go with out internet access for as long as 1 minute an hour or sometimes even a day until the landlord notices something is wrong and resets his router.

Part of the reason why I would like to get my own apartment with my own dedicated broadband connection. I can't even play on Steam like I used too, this connection is too unstable and the server admins notice how my ping shoots up into the sky and they boot me out and tell me to get my problems fixed, altho I already know what the problem is lol.

So how about it? I also know that most people don't have FSX but I remember FSHost allowed both FS9 and FSX users to be together in the same multiplayer session ... I'm not sure if FSHost is still alive tho or if the rumored of an FSX version even exists.

Propose that to improve our xml coding skills that all ATC transmissions be made in reverse Polish notation!
 
I could possibly host it depending on the day. I believe I have a pretty good connection from what others say, although it would probably be a good idea to test that theory before the real session. :D

And we'd just have to keep our fingers crossed that FSX didn't crash. It hasn't done it to me in a while, but you never know when it will decide to again. :rolleyes:
 
So let's do it then, plenty of time to plan here, when we think we've got it all planned, who ever will host can set a day. I am off on Saturdays, well mostly everyone is so I vote for a Saturday.
 
Yeah, Saturday is probably best. I'm not sure about next Saturday, as we need to get it known that we're doing this. Not sure that 1 week is enough to get the event known about.

No not too fast, everyone needs to be aware first, infact I should turn this into a pole to see who is interested and who isn't.
 
Love the idea! Maybe we could get Bill Leaming's 33MO and have a huge fly-in? Jon Raines and I will man the control tower :D

Absolutely! FSDeveloper's resident Air Traffic Controller-in-Training would be eager to take on the task! 33MO would be an awesome meet-up point too!
 
I say we make this a yearly event, where we all gather once a year, have a huge fly in and I mean HUUGGEEE. Something well organized, perhaps not do hops perhaps just stick at an airport and fly around.

This could be something exciting!
 
This is really random, I know, but... I think it's funny how you capitalized Gathering and Developers. The way it sounds, "The Gathering of Developers", sounds like it's some secretive, magic filled event with sorcerers... or wait. Maybe it is something similar...? :eek::D
 
Nice idea, but should be not have a slew-in for developers? :)
 
True, it would be fun to do some flying. It's a long long time ago that I did a multi-player flight. Should be fun to join one agian.
