• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX General question about editing aircraft

This is just a general question reguarding editing aircraft. I have a couple of ground vehicles I would like to add some passengers and maybe a driver to sitting in the appropriate seats. Some of them already have passengers, but I would like to add other passengers to the empty seats and maybe add a driver to the driver seat. What program would I use to best edit the vehicle models to achieve this? Or can it even be done? I tried using MCX to attach a object (such as a 3d person) to the model, but that didn't work too well. What would I need to do something that complex? Or can it be done? I'd also like to make some changes in some of the 3rd party aircraft I added as well.

I would use the merge object function of MCX for this. Click on the two legs into one arrow icon. Attaching is more for adding effects to models.

Thanks I will give it a go. I have never used that function before. I guess I will have to experiment a bit. If I can't do it that way is there any other programs that will do this?

I think that you would have to have the original model file and make the changes in the original modelling program or another one that would accept the model's format.
