• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello, guys. I got a question, I am trying to generate the number of both xDim and yDim from these numbers. Is that possible?

UPPER LEFT X=120.9112477416
UPPER LEFT Y=23.9971610417
LOWER RIGHT X=121.7547648928
LOWER RIGHT Y=23.6395572917
WEST LONGITUDE=120° 54' 40.4919" E
NORTH LATITUDE=23° 59' 49.7798" N
EAST LONGITUDE=121° 45' 17.1536" E
SOUTH LATITUDE=23° 38' 22.4062" N
PIXEL SIZE X=0.000594026 arc degrees / pixel
PIXEL SIZE Y=0.000594026 arc degrees / pixel
SCALE=1:249900
ENCLOSED AREA=3417.7 sq km
VIEW PIXEL SIZE=1420 x 602

These numbers are generated by the global mapper, which I use it to convert my .JPG to .TIFF. THX a lot.

If you have a GeoTIFF, you can use my utility GeoTIFF to INF to automatically save a resample INF with the positional data. This will allow you to edit the image without having to re-georectify the image or manually calculate the information for the INF.

Yes. But, the problem is that the .TIFF scenery is too big(2.88GB) that my GEOTIFFTOINF.exe cannot able to generate the .inf file. So, I have to compose it manually. Thanks anyway.

Thanks again. Only one question left, how can I get the number of Image Width & Height (in Pixel)??

You should be able to find that by right clicking the image in Windows Explorer, clicking Properties, then going to the Details tab. The dimensions should be listed.

From my experience resample will choke on anything over 2 Gb anyway so I'm guessing you'll need to break that imagery up into smaller chunks.
