• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am a little bit confused om this subject, but how do you get more frames? I only have 100 here and I do not know what menu to use to change it.

On a side note, I was looking in the wiki and I only found how to make a jetway move. Since my scenery doesn't have jetways I just wanted to make some cars to move on the approach end of the runway. Is there any tutorials around for this?

Thanks, Ryan

At the bottom of your screenie, there's a 100, and there's a key next to it. Does that key have any effect on the ability to change the value?

Then again, I'm the idiot of GMax, it's probably not a good idea to listen to me

Cheers.

EDIT nevermind, at the bottom of your screen, you should see something that looks like a calender with a clock next to it. I believe you can change the FPS from there.

There's an animation tutorial here: http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials_UTC/GmaxAnimFanTut.htm

Looked it up for him, but there was nothing about frames. So I thought I'd try to help him and find something more helpful.

For that matter, the "Help" button in GMax is your friend. Everything you need to know is there, and the "Index" will allow you to search by keyword... ;)

Here's a link to help with keyframe animation:

keyframe-anim-basics

It is made for 3dmax, but the process is probably the same. I found it via Google in about 1 minute...

I know it's easier to just ask, but really, some effort is required to learn using the tools. Doing web research first saves time for other forum members who end up wading through these very basic posts in search of some real problems or new techniques.

Helpful people on the forums become much less helpful when they feel abused.
