• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Complaints or comments about the moderation of the forums can be addressed as a separate issue by either messaging the admins ( Arno would be a good choice as would scruffyduck ), or by starting a new thread in General Chat.

Refraining from name calling in these new threads is a good rule-of-thumb, as is exhibiting tolerance for different differences in age, sexual orientation, ethnicity or nationality....

"Piling on" a poster that has displayed poor judgement only makes the 'piler' susceptible to censure or discipline. Better to report a post. Reports are reviewed and discussed daily by admins and moderators.

We are an international forum that encourages exploration and dissemination of techniques of Microsoft Flight Simulator development. By necessity, we use tolerance, as we are both a very diverse group, and a very passionate group. If we weren't passionate about FS development, we'd leave these forums pretty quickly. :)

People do make mistakes. Sometimes people do really stupid things. I've done incedibly stupid things. This forum has adopted a policy to be quick to forgive, rather than quickly banning posters for their errors. By private contact, these errors are dealt with. 99.9% of the members here are well-behaved and understand the purpose of this forum is to explore and learn about FS development, and to keep the discussion on topic.

With that, I'll lock the thread. The original poster is currently banned, and the original topic has been pretty much beaten to death. toprob's links above cover what was needed.
