• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Gmax Winzip Self Extractor Error...Please Help

Hi,
Yesterday when I launched FSXGmax gamepack already installed on my PC, it gave me an error message, "Winzip Self Extractor Corrupt Possible cause File Transfer error"....Gmax did not open, I was shocked to see this as it was working fine before. I never got such messages in the past.
To resolve the problem I uninstalled Gmax along with the FSX Gamepack....and tried to reinstall it through one of my backup disk on my PC...This time the installer too gave me the same error....
This is not the first time I am reinstalling Gmax...I have reinstalled it several times in the past....I never had to face such error messages.

Still I never gave up...and decided to directly download and install it from turbosquid....
My Google Chrome browser too gave me problems...it launched but websites did not open..and I had to use the Internet Explorer for downloading which worked fine...
I downloaded Gmax, it downloaded a file called "gmax12.exe", and when I run this file to install..it again gave me the same Error..."Winzip Self Extractor Corrupt- Possible cause File transfer Error"..

Let me know..any of you have had the same error message

I think you have other problems beside Gmax. Get your antivirus and malware scanners busy!

Even I think so....just 2 days ago I had inserted a friend's usb into my PC...might be the problem started from there..Before that everything was fine.
Virus might be the culprit...
