• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

FSXA Google Earth Mesh to FSX?

Correct, it's 1 mt/pixel, and the mesh 5 meters, fitted with the ortophoto perfectly, are you to download other islands ? It's because I have Fsx.

First: what do you mind with "are you to download other islands ? It's because I have Fsx."?

Exists there any way or tool or something for excluding the other Islands from Mesh Bgl, because for my Scenery I only want La Palma. And for my Scenery I think I will make a new photoreal with 0,25m/pixel, with images taken from here, but don't know realy how to do it, but if you can help I started a new Thread.

Nop, because the author compiled all the files at once, are you living in la Palma ? the new terminal have been finished ? you can use orthimagery from official sites like the IGN Canarias but don't know if you can get that resolution, but always is good to try improving the scneries.

Edit: don't understand the interest to exclude the other mesh but you have your own ideas. I'll try to upload the mesh to my account in 4Shared, I have them independly becuase this was made by myself, you have to registe to download it's the policy of 4shared.

Thanks a lot Bernardo, I could download it, but I have one litle question:is this the same LOD13 Mesh of La Palma than the complete Canary Islands. And that you undetstand my interests, for my own use for me it's the same to have only one island bgl or all in one, but I want to make a Scenery of La Palma, and La Palma only and not any other Islands, and then it's better if in the Scenery there is only the mesh of La Palma and not of the other Islands.

And an other thing, I don't know if you know the answer, but I ask you: If I use for the Photoreal Scenery the Google Maps, of the website I said you, then I can't publish the Scenery, not? (Cause the user rights of Google say that you can only use the maps for your personaly use) Do you know how much aproximatly it cost to buy this 0,25m/pixel maps of Google if it's posible to buy them?

Hi, you are welcome. have you to register to download ? Yes the mesh is the same but have a compression of 100% so have more resolution but not mean be better.
Yes it's the problem with google earth you can't publish your scenery and about to buy the stuff what people say it's very expensive ¡¡,
Nice you try to improve the scenery of La Palma. but you not fly between island, over Las Cañadas, or Lanzarote ??¡¡

I had already an account, so no problem with the download. About the Google Earth, what's for you "very expensive" 1000? 10000?
And now I am only flying in the continental Europe, because of the Canary Airports there aren't any very good Scenerys, the freeware ones I didn't test for now but I will see if in this year Simwings publish their new Canary Islands Scenery for FSX, that would be realy great.

Have you any idea how make that with the Runway? Because like for sure you already know it is something like this:

Yess, its not so difficult, I use a plane and the bend modifier, but almost I have to make it guessing because you can't work with terrain data (it's not reliable), what is difficult is to adjust the platform, par exemple, or to match the sloped terrain with Ade. but can be done working hard. the Hierro island airport have the very same profile.:D
About the price of the orthoimagery, don't know people say is expensive and when thery say it's expensive you belive them, anyway if the scenery is intended to be free, then better not even to think in such posibiliy.

But is it posible to do it so that it is 100% compatible to AI Traffic Addons and the default traffic too, and with elevation differences at Rwy01 and to Rwy19? If yes like you said above, how? What's the trick for do it? Where, in with wich programs it must be done? With Gmax and ADE? Thanks realy a lot for your help.
 
Ah my friend, always there is a but...,the AI traffic work but not work properly, I realized of this when created the runway, the ai traffic work with the height of the ref. point of the runway not with hardsurface as I was thinking, so the ai airplane will follow that height, then in the sloped area of the runway the ai ariplane is as floating. but in a runway long enough like La Palma, you will not see this behaviour because the ai airplane go to gates before the sloped areas. it's because you have to do the first leg totally flat. no as the graphic above.
For sloped runway you need at least gmax, Ade and modelconvertex.

the airplanes will behaviour like the runway were flat. these are the facts :cool:, so all you can do is to tweak the runwyay or the airplane to get ai traffic, par exemple I have Binter traffic, they go to the end of the runway and return, so you see them floating, but I have a couple of traffic which land and stop before reach the platform so they turn and parking in the parkings areas. what can I do ? I get the air file of these airplanes and add them to the Binter Atr72. I want the sloped runway and the Ai traffic at any cost.
 
About your AI Traffic problem with Binter I don't know anything, because I never did something similar, right now I have only the default Traffic and nothing more. Sorry.

Now my next problem:
I did the Runway in GMax, and I applyed a simple Asphalt Texture for testing if the Runway goes in FSX well. When I wanted to export first I set the FriendlyName for having the Guide, and then I wanted to export it as a Flight Sim Model (MDL) and I get some Errors:

And you said that I need ModelConverterX for making the Runway, I have it, but for making the Runway for what exactly must I use it?

First of all you have to check the "export the Fs10 materials" box. But I don't think this could be the problem. You have to make clear the Sdk installation is working I guess you have the Sdk installed ?, go to Fsx start the game and check if the menu of the Sdk tools are there, they ae are the object placement, traffic and effects. this is to chech the Sdk is working
Modelconvertex is only to check the model and convert into other formats, and add hard surface attachment to the models and other things
 
Yes I have the SDK entries in the Flight Simulator and if I check the export fs10 Materials, there occure the same errors, do you have an other idea, about what could be the problem?
