FSX grass texture and transparency

Hello,

I am working on a grass object, which I will place at the taxiways and runway.

But I have a little problem at the moment. My grass object is transparent, but blue, the grass, which normally should be green, is blue too, like the transparent part ob the object, but visible.

So I try to describe my object and texture config.

3ds max:

SrcAlpha
InvSrcAlpha
AdditiveNightOnly

Z-Test-Alpha: 58

Alpha Test Mode: Greater

Z-Write Alpha: on

PSD file:
Green Grass with black background.
Alpha ~ 70%

then convert to dds DXT 5.

Hope anybody like to help me with this problem.

Thanks

comy

That not working, worse, now I can not see anything and I am not sure about reason, in cause of try and error strategy

But z-test alpha to 128 didn't work right.

Maybe you or anybody likes to have a look in the files. I wouldn't exclude, that the problem is inside texture config.

Thanks for help

regards comy

Try Z-Test level 70-75, that works for me when I used semi-transparent textures for grass, 128 is mainly for DXT1 alphas (pure white/black)

Comy,

Your alpha map has to be a mask, showing just the grass and masking the background.
Try the attached image.
