• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Guam PGUM scenery light glow

Hi,

I am trying to use Morten van der Linden's wonderful FSX PGUM scenery (available here) in P3Dv4.5. It works, but I have a strong light glow, both at night and at daytime (then it is a blue glow which appears from some distance).

Where could I start looking, if this can be fixed at all? No lights would be fine also (then it's day flights only). I have already removed all effects which come with the scenery, but with no success.

I'm grateful for any help.

Boris

I was wondering this myself. Must be a texture file or something that was exclusive to FSX and not in p3d. Hopefully someone with knowledge on the topic can chime in here.

I updated the scenery with dynamic lights and GSX jetways. Link to download. The strong light glow should be gone. To ensure proper light colouring, turn HDR on.

For those who don't have GSX, I will upload SODE jetways once I get around to adding those.

Thanks for this update @fsdev1 !
I'm trying to use this on V5.2, the only issue is that i still see the original buildings. Can't find any PGUM file anywhere and it's not part of the orbx improved airfields package, i tried to put it above orbx's libraries but no success...any idea? Thanks!

Btw, there are some elevation issues due to the updated vectors introduced with V5, the airfield looks like on a plateau, 15/20 feet above the landscape.

I have the same issue, tired a bit in MCX but it wont change.
Is there any solution for 5.2 ?
Thanks a lot!

I believe I have fixed the elevation issue. Replace these files in your PGUM Airport scenery, and add the one to your root Scenery/World/Scenery.
