• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello Everyone,...

I'm needing some help on KDAL (Dallas-Love Field Terminal)...

The walkways that are leading from the parking garage to terminal. Are they completely covered ( surrounded on all sides or just a top covered walkways? For that matter,... are all of the pathways covered completely? ( on google - see Picture below. )

Hi Doug,

From the name of the airport, I'd say the parking lot is completely covered up for more privacy:), but on the other hand, take a look at Bing maps (bird's eye view and angled view checked) and you will see it is not the case.

Just a thought

This post got me to thinking. I to have run into similar situations where the satellite view doesn't provide enough info about the sides of a structure and the photo-links in Google Earth or Street view in Google maps don't cover it either.

For some strange reason (sarcasm alert) seems like just about every photo taken at an airport and posted to Google earth is of airplanes or the control tower - why doesn't anybody take pictures of the parking garage???!! ;)

Seriously, for the forum moderators: Do you think there would be merit in starting a "I'm looking for photos of:" sticky thread in the Looking for help forum?

That way, if somebodyhappens to live by an airport/building/object that is requested--or is traveling through an airport (e.g. I've a few good photos of lesser known DFW views taken the Monday after the last Superbowl Sunday - just happened to be changing planes there)--they could respond - might be a good resource. Just a thought.

I got a kick out of your tagline!

My favorite is:

Antiquis temporibus, nati tibi similes in rupibus ventosissimis exponebantur ad necem.

In the good old days, children like you were left to perish on windswept crags.

Hello Roby,...

Your right, you would think so,... but thanks for the suggestion,... I might have more work to do now

check the airfield in Bing Maps. It has a great Bird's Eye View feature using side-view airphotos from different directions.

Hello Holger,...

Thanks,... I'm glad that I got the same answer from 2 different people,... it means it must be the right step,... lol and thanks for the link! :D
