• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,
Anyone know how to turn off flight notifications when working on a project in the editor?

Pretty sure that is in General Preferences>Flight Difficulty>Notifications. I just woke up so that will probably get you at least close.
 
Asobo broke the persistence of the Assistance options saved values in SU7 and randomly broke the Esc key to allow you to drop back to the main menu while in Dev mode to reset the assistant options.

Until they fix their errors and make the assistance option saved values persistent it's a pita.
 
My General Preferences>Flight Difficulty>Notifications are all deseabled. This sets notifications for flight only, not for development.
 
Sim started, then into assistance options all set 'True to life' and saved. Back to world map load the airport and then into dev mode to load the scenery package. The assistance option have been reset back to Easy and you can't use Esc whislt in editing mode to go back and turn them off again. Widely reported bug introduced with SU7

Well done Asobo.

If you open the Aircraft Editor, RESYNC, then the sim becomes unresponsive until you close the aircraft editor panel.

So I thought I'd try actually loading my project instead of using the dummy project trick (and experienced the assistance options all being reset to EASY). I reset them back to my preference and loaded the Aircraft Editor again. Not only does RESYNC still make the sim unresponsive but it resets all the assistance options as well.

Having to close the aircraft editor panel is a PITA every time I need to RESYNC but having assistance options reset makes it pretty much unuseable.

Well done Asobo. How does stuff like this get out the door?
