• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Hi Guys
I added PBR texture to carenado S340.
I used the modelconverterX.
I didn't changed any parameters the position of the plane despite of this in the plane Preview I get a very small plane its almost invisible and when I load it in the sim the outside view is very far.
I don't understand it .
The original mdl works fine.
Any suggestions?

The preview can be affected by the radius or the bounding box as stored in the MDL file. It might be these have changed during the editing.

What do you mean with the outside view is very far?

Thank you for your reply. When I load the plane in the simulator the spot view is far. I mean I have to zoom in to get closer because it looks like I far from that plane.
Anyway I managed to solve the problem. I used the MDL tweaker and I checked the original bounding box size and I set the original numbers.
This solved the problem.
Somehow when I add the PBR and exported the new MDL the bounding box parameters changed however I didn't change those.
Thank you for your help

In a recent development release you can also enable the override bounding box option in the object information form to correct these values.

The bounding box and radius are normally calculate by XtoMdl during export, these are not stored.
