• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

How can I edit animations?

Hello,

Can you, please, help me with finding info on how I can edit animations with MCX? Or can I at all?

I want to correct a small bug in the Milviz Turbo Otter model. The landing gear indicator needle moves the wrong way and points to wrong directions (indicates gear up when they are down and vice versa). See the video.

I spent almost an hour trying to figure the thing out on my own, but to no avail.

Hi,

At the moment you can't edit animations in MCX. I'm planning to add some basic editing in the future.

Reversing an animation is one new feature I added in the development release of yesterday, so you can do that from the hierarchy editor now.

But more advanced editing of animations is not yet possible.

Hi,

Yep, just find the animated part in the Hierarchy Editor, click on the word Animation in the right panel, right click it, and choose Reverse Animation.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. The animation has broken completely. Now the needle just jerks into wrong places without any animation. Maybe I did something wrong? I just found the needle in the hierarchy, highlighted it and then selected "Reverse animation"...

Still no update alert here...

When you reversed the animation, did it look OK when you moved the animation slider in MCX?
