• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am still ROTFLMAO at this cartoon:

LOL, and I think it's true as well :)

I worked for some years in software support, and have seen both sides. I can attest that the drawing is 100% accurate (and still makes me giggle every time I see it, especially the bottom half!). :rotfl:

Thanks Bill.

It's actually pretty much along the lines of this cartoon some wag drew a few years ago during a thread in which I was trying to explain some technical stuff to Bill (Lionheart)...

Hahahahahahaha!

LOLOL..... I remember that.

Learning logic and gauge programming. Many a tear over that learning experience. Never in my life have I had to face such a thing. I can make real cars and chassis, make exotic polygon models (well, I think they are exotic), but programming... ACK!!!!

"WOOT?" :rotfl:

That's the feeling you get at least after seeing some bit of code.
After some time it will be a weak ...ah...
:duck:

Give me programming any time :) Long story but many years ago I did my PhD on the interface between users and developers :yikes:

Oh! You got a Piled higher and Deeper, how cool is that... I have a ThD myself. I can take that and $2.80 to Starbucks and get a cup of coffee. :rotfl:

That reminds me of:-

What do you say to someone with a first class Honours degree in Philosophy?

Big Mac and large Fries, please.

Rather cruel...

'fraid so Bill and it is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard ;)

Many years back I was offered a Masters from Columbia University for my years of experience in my profession (I was programming before you could get a college degree in computers). I didn't take it, it would have prevented me from getting employment as a programmer as I would have been considered 'too expensive'.

lol.....wotever :) I still cant program my VCR....oh wait thats DVR now, not to mention using the EPG on the htpc so I can work out what repeats Im going to watch on the FTA :D

And here I am spending way too much time and money dealing with way too much BS to get my Master's...
